Located in the Stari Grad, or ‘Old Town’, of Belgrade, Skadarlija is a historic street that dates back to the early 19th century. Today, the charming street is lined with restaurants where musicians play Starogradske Pesme-style music. These songs are an urban spin on folk songs from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, which marked the beginning of Serbia’s urban culture.
